Community Development
Port Bouvard Ltd recognises that fostering community growth will be central to the success of the future village development.
Community is an important aspect to the project team. Since establishing Port Bouvard in Mandurah, the company has been actively involved in a number of local charities and groups.
The company established the Port Bouvard Life Saving Association and John Wroth was a founding committee member and vice president. Port Bouvard Ltd has also been active at Fairbridge and Falcon Primary School with environmental and youth focused initiatives. In addition, Peel Thunder Football club benefited from Port Bouvard Ltd's principle sponsorship. The company also contributed $1 million to the development of Falcon Library.
The project team understands that Gidgegannup also values its community and that there are numerous groups that are seeking to improve the range of facilities as well as opportunities for the residents. Port Bouvard Ltd is now proud to be in partnership with Experience Gidgegannup.
Gidgegannup is already acting as a district centre for Morangup and passing trade to Toodyay. It is possible to grow the town and still retain a strong sense of community and connectivity.
